Week Two

Looking through the Bebo, Flicka and Facebook, they look like interesting things to use, but I'm not sure whether I have the time to set up yet another thing I go. Currently I have about 40 mailing lists I'm on, several of those I am a moderator for. I also belong to about a dozen forums, and have several email addresses I have to clear regularly. Yet another thing to do will cut into my sleep time. I will probably do it, I just need some time to think about what I will use them for. Yeah, I could just make them for fun, but I have a lj for that and it feels like doubling up. I'll have a think and see what I come up with.

Tuesday 25th September

America Club: weekly roleplaying club night at Auckland University City Campus. See their club website for more information. www.theamericaclub.net.nz Meeting will be back on the Lower Common Room tonight.

Wednesday 26th September

America Club: weekly board games club night at Auckland University City Campus. Meeting is in Ground Zero tonight.

Auckland City Guard Gaming Club: weekly Sunday meeting, at Freemans Bay Community Hall. From 1pm to 5pm. A range of wargames and board games being played including Warhammer Fantasy, 40K, Flames of War, Warmachine and Hordes. Cost $3 members/$5 non-members. www.cityguard.co.nz

So, here we are then

A brief explanation behind my account name incase someone was wondering. One of the things I do in the other life beyond work is be a geek. And in being this geek I am involved with a large number of geeky activities. Sometimes it's hard to keep track of which activity I'm supposed to be at, and so I created a calendar. I started sharing this calendar with some of the geeky groups I'm involved in. After a while it got so I would end up with many copies of my own calendar coming back to me, that I ended up creating a mailing list that I post this calendar to.

So here I am, creating this blog for the 2.0 training, but eventually when this is finished I'll re-use this for the Calendar.
